Susan Kramer (she/her) is the director of development and communications and has been with DFX since the summer of 2020. She loves working with this dynamic team and being able to tell the story of how their work is having a transformative impact on the lives of so many children and families. Susan brings over 20 years of experience in assisting nonprofit organizations with grant writing, communication and development strategies. From 2020 through April 2023, she served on the board of Resilience1220, a nonprofit organization that provides mental health support to youth in the mountain areas west of Denver. Prior to joining DFX, she worked with the Rocky Mountain Brainspotting Institute (RMBI), a professional association of psychotherapists based in Boulder. From 2011 to 2019, she was the executive director of Ovation West Performing Arts in Evergreen, CO, where she managed the growth of the organization and developed partnerships with nonprofits throughout the community. Susan and her husband moved from Colorado to Wallingford, Vermont, in summer 2023. Outside of work, Susan is enjoying life in Vermont and gardening, cooking, skiing when it is snowing and hiking when it’s not!
