Maddy Ober, M.A. (they/them) is a part-time psychology extern at Developmental FX for the 2024-2025 year. Maddy is currently a 5th year PsyD student at the University of Denver with a master’s degree in clinical psychology. They are completing specialty tracks in assessment and infant and early childhood mental health. For the past year, Maddy has been completing a full-time externship focused on therapy and assessment for developmental disabilities. They have helped with forensic, IEE, and private evaluations in addition to carrying a caseload of autistic adolescents.

Maddy is passionate about collaborating with caregivers during treatment and has completed training on neurodiversity-affirming assessment and therapy. They are trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy, and enjoy using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and play therapy techniques during sessions. Maddy has also completed externships with a variety of populations at the Caring for You and Baby (CUB) Clinic, Aurora Mental Health Adult Intensive Services, Denver Health ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders, and Specialized Offender Services. Maddy is excited to continue receiving excellent supervision building a strong foundation in their evaluation and clinical skills at Developmental FX as they look forward to internship. Outside of graduate school and clinical training, Maddy enjoys writing, building puzzles, and spending time with their two dachshunds, Dash and Comet.
